Six years of development for greater independence

A clear need
Many people with visual impairments rely on support from sighted individuals to navigate and access visual information about their surroundings. Access to these services is limited.

Together with users
Together with people with visual impairments, we explored how technology can complement human support and give users more opportunities to navigate everyday life independently.

We tested what’s available – but it isn’t enough
We reviewed and tested existing solutions on the market. The conclusion was clear: they do not meet people’s everyday needs. They are too limited, unreliable, or poorly adapted to real-life situations.

Our solution is on its way
For six years, we have been developing a product and service that helps people with visual impairments navigate everyday life more independently and confidently. SeeForYou complements sighted guides and interpreters – it does not replace them – and gives users greater freedom to do things on their own. Together with users, we have tested, developed and improved several prototypes.

The first ideas take shape. We explore technology, features and possible solutions.

2. First prototypes
We build and test the first prototypes to understand how they work in everyday life.

3. User testing
The prototypes are tested together with people with visual impairments. We listen, learn and improve.

4. Next step: SeeForYou
Our solution is moving closer to a finished product – ready to make a real difference in people’s everyday lives.
